How to Download Invoices from Smartsheet

Smartsheet is a powerful work management and automation platform. Managing your Smartsheet subscription invoices is essential for tracking enterprise software expenses. This guide will show you how to access and download invoices from your Smartsheet account.

Prerequisites

You need to be a System Admin to access billing information and download Smartsheet invoices.

Sign in to Smartsheet

Access your Smartsheet account:

  1. Go to smartsheet.com
  2. Click "Log In" and enter your credentials
  3. Navigate to your Smartsheet workspace
  4. Ensure you have System Admin privileges

Access Admin Center

Navigate to admin settings:

  1. Click on your profile icon in the top right
  2. Select "Admin Center" from the dropdown
  3. You'll be taken to the administration area
  4. Look for subscription or billing options

Navigate to Subscription

Find subscription section:

  1. In Admin Center, click "Subscription" in left sidebar
  2. View your current Smartsheet plan details
  3. See user licenses and usage
  4. Look for "Billing" or "Payment history" tab

View Billing History

Access billing records:

  1. Click on "Billing" tab
  2. See list of all past invoices and payments
  3. Each shows date, invoice number, and amount
  4. Filter by date range if needed

Download Invoices

Get your invoice PDFs:

  1. Find the invoice you need
  2. Click "Download" or "View PDF"
  3. Invoice downloads as PDF file
  4. Save for accounting records

Note: Invoices include plan tier, user count, and add-ons.

Manage Billing Information

Update billing details:

  1. In Billing section, update payment method
  2. Edit billing address and company information
  3. Add tax ID or VAT number
  4. Changes apply to future billing cycles

Tip: Smartsheet sends invoice notifications to System Admins.

Common Issues & Solutions

Can't access Admin Center

Only System Admins can access the Admin Center and billing. Contact your Smartsheet System Admin to request access or have them download invoices for you.

No billing section visible

Free trial accounts and individual plans may not have full billing history. Ensure you're on a paid Business or Enterprise plan to access invoice downloads.

Invoice download fails

Ensure pop-ups are enabled for smartsheet.com. Try clearing browser cache or using a different browser. Contact Smartsheet support if issues persist.

Enterprise billing through reseller

If your organization purchased Smartsheet through a reseller or partner, invoices may come from them instead. Contact your account manager for billing records.
