Common Issues & Solutions

Can't access billing settings

Only company Admins can access billing. Contact your Gusto account administrator to grant admin permissions or request they download invoices.

Payroll fees vs subscription fees

Gusto charges both monthly subscription fees and per-payroll processing fees. Check your invoice to see both charges itemized separately.

Employee count changes

Your monthly subscription cost adjusts based on active employee count. Invoice reflects current employee count for that billing period.

Add-on service charges

Benefits administration, time tracking, and other add-ons show as separate line items on your invoice. Review plan details for add-on pricing.
