How to Download Invoices from Google Ads

Google Ads is Google's online advertising platform. Managing your Google Ads invoices is essential for tracking marketing expenses and budgets. This guide will show you how to access and download invoices from your Google Ads account.

Prerequisites

You need to have Admin or Billing Admin access to view and download Google Ads invoices.

Sign in to Google Ads

Access your Google Ads account:

  1. Go to ads.google.com
  2. Sign in with your Google account
  3. Select the correct Google Ads account
  4. Ensure you have billing access

Access Billing

Navigate to billing section:

  1. Click on "Tools & Settings" icon (wrench) in top right
  2. Under "Billing", select "Settings"
  3. You'll be taken to billing summary
  4. Look for "Documents" or "Transactions" tab

Navigate to Documents

Find invoice documents:

  1. Click on "Documents" tab in billing section
  2. View list of all billing documents
  3. See invoices, statements, and credit memos
  4. Filter by date range or document type

Filter and Find Invoices

Locate specific documents:

  1. Use date range filter to narrow results
  2. Select "Invoices" from document type filter
  3. Each shows document number, date, and amount
  4. Sort by date or amount if needed

Download Invoices

Get your invoice PDFs:

  2. Click the download icon or "Download"
  3. Invoice downloads as PDF file

Note: Monthly invoicing customers receive formal invoices. Automatic payments generate transaction receipts.

Check payment history:

  1. Click "Transactions" tab in billing
  2. See all charges and payments
  3. View detailed transaction information
  4. Download transaction history if needed

Common Issues & Solutions

Can't access Billing section

You need Admin or Billing Admin access to view billing. Contact your Google Ads account administrator to grant billing permissions.

No invoices in Documents tab

Invoices are only available for monthly invoicing payment settings. Automatic payment accounts receive transaction receipts instead, found under Transactions tab.

Missing recent invoices

Invoices are typically issued monthly after billing period ends. Recent charges may not have invoices yet. Check Transactions tab for recent activity.

Download button not working

Ensure pop-ups are enabled for google.com. Try clearing browser cache or using Chrome browser. Check your Google account's download settings.
