Common Issues & Solutions

Can't access Billing and plans section

Only organization owners and billing managers can view billing. If you're a member, ask your organization owner to grant you billing manager role or provide the invoices.

No payment history showing

If you're on the free plan, you won't see payment history. Payment history only shows when you have paid features like Teams, Enterprise, or usage-based charges.

Receipt doesn't have all required tax information

Update your billing information to include company details and VAT/tax ID. Go to Billing > Payment information to add or update these details. Changes apply to future receipts.

Can't find receipts older than 12 months

GitHub typically shows recent billing history. For older receipts, check your email archives for receipt notifications or contact GitHub Support with your account details.
