How to Download Invoices from Facebook Ads

Facebook Ads (Meta Ads Manager) is Facebook's advertising platform. Managing your Facebook Ads invoices is essential for tracking marketing spend and ROI. This guide will show you how to access and download invoices from your Facebook Ads account.

Prerequisites

You need Admin or Finance Editor access to your ad account to download Facebook Ads invoices.

Sign in to Ads Manager

Access your Facebook Ads account:

  1. Go to business.facebook.com
  2. Sign in with your Facebook credentials
  3. Open Ads Manager from the menu
  4. Select the correct ad account

Access Billing

Navigate to billing section:

  1. Click the menu icon (≡) in Ads Manager
  2. Under "Billing", select "Billing & Payments"
  3. Or click "Billing" from the left sidebar
  4. You'll see billing summary and options

Navigate to Transactions

Find transaction history:

  1. In Billing section, click "Transactions" tab
  2. View list of all billing transactions
  3. See charges, payments, and adjustments
  4. Use date filter to narrow results

Download Invoice/Receipt

Get billing documents:

  1. Find the transaction you need
  2. Click "Download" next to the transaction
  3. Select "Invoice" or "Receipt" (depending on payment method)
  4. Document downloads as PDF

Access Invoice History

View all invoices:

  1. Alternatively, click "Invoices" tab if available
  2. See all monthly invoices (for invoice payment method)
  3. Each shows invoice number, date, and amount
  4. Download individual invoices as needed

Note: Monthly invoice users get formal invoices. Credit card users get transaction receipts.

Export Transaction History

Download bulk billing data:

  1. In Transactions tab, click "Export"
  2. Select date range for export
  3. Choose CSV or PDF format
  4. Download the export file

Tip: Set up email receipts in billing settings to receive automatic notifications.

Common Issues & Solutions

Can't access Billing section

You need Admin or Finance Editor role on the ad account. Contact your ad account admin to request billing access permissions.

No invoices available

Invoices are only for monthly invoicing payment method. Credit card/automatic payment accounts get transaction receipts instead. Check Transactions tab.

Download button not appearing

Ensure the transaction has completed processing (usually 24-48 hours). Very recent charges may not have downloadable documents yet.

Missing older invoices

Facebook stores billing history for limited time. For very old invoices, contact Facebook Ads support or check your email for past billing notifications.
